About the evidence
A name in a file isn’t a conviction.
We want criminal cases that hold up in court. That takes evidence.
Investigate what the records show.
A name in a flight log, photograph, address book or court filing does not, by itself, prove a crime.
Records can raise questions that investigators need to pursue. Prosecutors still have to prove a case, and the accused still have the right to defend themselves.
Being rich or politically connected shouldn’t stop an investigation. Being disliked shouldn’t substitute for evidence.
